Using the microwave oven is unhealthy.
Period.
When writing my previous post I started to think about the use of the microwave oven. I always knew it can not be healthy to heat up food in those, but I never googled up the dangers of it.
Until now.
And it's kind of shocking what I found!Did you know that microwave ovens changes the original struction of food which makes it lose some of its nutritions and even destroy some vitamins?
Did you know that there have been studies that shows that your cholesterol levels increases by eating food heated in the microwave?
The most shocking I found is that you can get cancer tumors in your intestines or stomach!
Think about what happens when a human gets exposed to radiation. As we all know, this is not a good thing. Yet exacly the same process occurs in microwave ovens. The radiation in it changes and deform the food molecules, and can even create new compounds which is not even found in nature!
I stopped using my microwave oven when I moved to my new apartment last year because there was no room for it. I'm glad for that... It belongs in my closet now and will do till I throw it out.
I really don't need it anyway as my regular oven does the same work!

Hi,
It's true apparently, and few people seem to care. I've read the same sort of information. Thanks for the article.
Kathleen
Yes, the problem is that few people seem to care. Most people hardly knows about this. It's not like the manufactors will tell them... It's all about money..
I'm sorry, this article and these comments are mistaken. The FDA has reported that there is no danger or risk for eating microwaved food. They do NOT cause cancer, radiation, or destroy any nutrients or vitamins in any food. The FDA has regulated the manufacture of microwave ovens since the 1970's, and they assure us that every aspect of safety and health is taken into consideration. Find out for your self. http://www.fda.gov/cdrh/consumer/microwave.html
When our microwave broke, we never replaced it. I never really like the taste from microwave food either, however, thanks for sharing this useful piece of information. Thanks, Anna :)
Anonymous,
Thanks for sharing your thoughts and link! It's always good to read up on both sides when it comes to something before deciding what to do.
Anna,
Yeah, the taste is a bit different aswell. Didn't think about that. Thanks for sharing!
As with many topics and where we go to find our information, it is always best to find your own truth, rather than just relying on what someone else tells us to believe. Reading both sides of an issue and trying to assess the adgenda of the source is important.
I don't use a microwave...from the research I have done I have concluded that it is in my families best interest to not microwave our food,
Susan,
So true!
Thanks for your comment.
